Changing Your Negative Behaviors – It’s Up To You
It Really Is and I’ll Show You How
Let me tell you a story about a previous client of mine, it’ll help me explain where I’m going with this.
The thing is whilst we can dislike and even hate our behaviors when you look deeper or below the surface we will find there is a positive intention behind them. I really believe in the presupposition of NLP that every, yes every, behavior has a positive intention. But when you experience the behavior as a negative it’s hard to accept. Yet it’s been borne out with every client I have worked with.
I’ll even explain through two other clients’ experiences that they thought were phobias and shows how sometimes the unconscious mind, with the best of intentions, can make a mistake which also proves this point.
When you understand this and begin to see the ‘why’ you can get your unconscious mind to change that behavior to something that you like and really supports you. And it does this because it gets to keep that positive intention recognizing the old behavior no longer is appropriate.
