Making Affirmations Work When Affirmations Clearly Don’t Work
Or Do They?
Many think affirmations are those we say such as “I am happy, I am happy, I am happy” over and over and over again. Especially at times when we are not. Nada! it doesn’t work and usually makes you feel worse. Why? because it’s creating a conflict. I’ll explain in the podcast.
But affirmations, despite what I said in the title do work. They work all the time when you believe a thing to be true and guess what you do that all the time.
Recognize any of these ‘Affirmations’?
“If bad things are going to happen they’ll happen to me”
“I don’t belong here”
“They’ll find me out”
“This will never work and I’ll feel like a failure and not good enough”
And there are plenty more where they came from, plus we’re bombarded with other people’s stuff we can take on too, plus all the negative stuff in the news. It’s a minefield of sh*t!
So can we change that, and make affirmations work in our favor? Of course and to find out HOW you simply have to listen and put into practice what you hear and learn – If not well those others above will just get stronger and I don’t want that for you (or anyone else for that matter)
We’re here to grow together and Change can be fast Change can be comfortable – there are a couple of better affirmations that are true.
